The Plot
The Betrayal and the Orphan
The story begins in a remote, snow-covered isolation where Eve Macarro lives with her parents, Javier and his unnamed wife. Javier, a former assassin, has been living in hiding after betraying a mysterious organization known as "The Cult," a decision that previously led to the tragic deaths of Eve's mother and older sister. Their hidden existence is shattered when the Cult, led by the ruthless Chancellor, launches a calculated ambush on their home. Javier fights with the desperation of a father protecting his last remaining child, managing to fend off the initial wave of attackers. However, the victory is pyrrhic; Javier sustains mortal wounds during the skirmish. As he lies dying, Eve is left completely alone in the world, the trauma of the violence searing into her memory.
In the aftermath of the carnage, Eve is discovered by Winston Scott, the manager of the New York Continental. Recognizing her lineage and potential, Winston takes the young girl under his wing, transporting her to the Ruska Roma, the crime syndicate her father was once affiliated with. There, she is handed over to the Director, beginning a new life not as a daughter, but as a weapon in the making.
The Ballerina and the Kikimora
Over the next twelve years, Eve undergoes a brutal and rigorous transformation. Under the stern, watchful eye of the Director, she is trained in the dual arts of ballet and assassination, becoming a "Kikimora"—a killer who hides in plain sight. She proves her capability early on by successfully protecting her first ward, the heiress Katla Park, and subsequently carries out several high-profile contracts with lethal efficiency. However, the shadow of her past remains. During a mission where she eliminates a target, Eve confronts and kills another assassin whom she identifies as an operative of the Cult, the very group responsible for her father's death.
Driven by a need for vengeance, Eve approaches the Director, demanding information about the Cult to track down those who orphaned her. The Director, however, issues a stern warning. She explains that unlike the Ruska Roma, which operates under a code of honor, the Cult abides by no rules. Furthermore, a fragile truce exists between the Ruska Roma and the Cult. The Director explicitly forbids Eve from pursuing this vendetta, warning that doing so would have catastrophic consequences for their organization.
The Prague Incident
Ignoring the warning to let the past die, Eve reunites with Winston Scott. He provides her with a critical lead: Daniel Pine, a member of the Cult, has checked into the Prague Continental carrying a massive bounty on his head. Seizing the opportunity, Eve travels to Prague, stepping into a volatile situation. Inside the hotel, she discovers that Pine is not alone; he is being hunted by his own people. A hit squad led by Lena, the Chancellor's dangerous right-hand woman, is lying in wait, preparing to strike. Eve learns that Pine is actually attempting to defect from the Cult to save his daughter, Ella.
Chaos erupts when Lena dramatically increases the bounty on Pine, turning every mercenary in the vicinity against him. Eve intervenes, fighting alongside Pine to fend off the waves of Cult assassins. Despite her efforts to save them both, the sheer number of enemies proves overwhelming. Pine is heavily wounded in the crossfire, and in the confusion, the Cult manages to kidnap his daughter, Ella. Once the Continental staff steps in to neutralize the remaining cultists for violating hotel rules, a desperate Eve seeks out Frank, a local arms dealer. Frank provides the final piece of the puzzle, directing her toward Hallstatt, a remote town that serves as the Cult’s base of operations.
The Town of Killers
Eve arrives in the picturesque, alpine town of Hallstatt, only to discover a horrifying reality: the entire population has been indoctrinated. Every townsperson, from the elderly to the merchants, is a sleeper assassin loyal to the Cult. Eve fights her way through the ambush but is eventually overwhelmed and captured. She is dragged before the Chancellor, who inspects his prisoner and discovers her Ruska Roma tattoos, realizing her identity. In a twisted moment of revelation, the Chancellor exposes the deep, incestuous web of the Cult's history. He reveals that Daniel Pine is actually his son who betrayed him, making the kidnapped Ella his own granddaughter.
As Eve defiantly shares her own story, the Chancellor realizes he was the one who killed her father, Javier. He then drops a final, shattering bombshell: Lena, his right-hand enforcer, is actually Eve’s older sister, who survived the attack years ago and was raised within the Cult. Stunned by the truth, Lena makes a split-second decision to betray her master. She helps Eve escape, revealing that their father, Javier, had fled with only Eve because he feared Lena had already been too deeply indoctrinated to be saved.
A Sister's Sacrifice
The reunion between the sisters is tragic and short-lived. As Eve and Lena attempt to flee the compound, the Chancellor, unwilling to let his property escape and fearing Lena's full betrayal, orders his men to unleash a barrage of grenades upon them. The explosion is devastating. Lena is killed instantly in the blast, sacrificing herself to ensure her sister's survival. Eve manages to escape the immediate kill zone, battered and heartbroken, fueling her rage into a singular focus: total annihilation of the Chancellor.
The Boogeyman Arrives
Furious at the chaos Eve has caused and the breach of their truce, the Chancellor calls the Director to demand accountability. The Director admits that Eve has gone rogue and is no longer acting under Ruska Roma orders. In a desperate bid to prevent an all-out war between the organizations, the Director offers a compromise: she will send the legendary hitman John Wick to Hallstatt to eliminate Eve. The Chancellor accepts the terms. Wick arrives in the snow-swept town, locating Eve amidst the carnage.
A brutal, visceral fight ensues between the two assassins. Eve, outmatched by the Baba Yaga, pleads with Wick. She doesn't ask for mercy, but for time—just enough to kill the Chancellor and complete her revenge. Wick, seeing a reflection of his own struggle for vengeance, empathizes with her plight. He spares her life, giving her a deadline: she has until midnight to kill the Chancellor. If she fails, he will fulfill his contract. As the clock ticks down, the town of Hallstatt erupts into violence. Eve carves a path toward the leadership, while Wick, his betrayal of the contract now discovered by the Cult, begins systematically dismantling the cultists attacking him.
End of the Lineage
The Chancellor, realizing his fortress has fallen, attempts to flee the town, dragging his granddaughter Ella with him. Eve pursues them relentlessly, cornering the Chancellor before he can escape. trapped, the Chancellor attempts to manipulate Eve one last time, trying to recruit her by appealing to her bloodline, noting that through her mother, she is part of the Cult’s legacy. Eve rejects his twisted logic and executes him, ending his reign of terror. She successfully secures Ella, pulling the girl from the wreckage of her grandfather's empire. Meanwhile, John Wick contacts the Director to confirm the Chancellor's death, a move that ironically resolves the conflict and prevents the looming war between the factions.
Incommunicado
In the aftermath, Ella is transported to the New York Continental, where she is safely reunited with her recovering father, Daniel Pine. Eve, however, faces a darker fate. By defying the Director’s direct orders and engaging the Cult, she has been branded "Incommunicado"—stripped of all privileges and protection. She secretly attends a ballet performance to watch her former roommate, Tatiana, dance one last time, a glimpse of the life she might have had. As she leaves the theater, she discovers that a massive open contract has been placed on her life. With the bounty active and hunters closing in, Eve disappears into the night, ready to survive on her own terms.
