The Terminator (1984)
In a dark, tech-noir thriller that started it all, a relentless cyborg assassin is sent back in time from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, a waitress whose unborn son is destined to save mankind. Hot on the machine's trail is Kyle Reese, a human soldier sent to protect her. As the invincible Terminator cuts a bloody swath through Los Angeles, Sarah and Kyle must run for their lives and fall in love, setting in motion the paradox that will define the future war.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Ten years have passed, and a more advanced liquid-metal Terminator, the T-1000, arrives to kill the young John Connor. However, the Resistance has sent a reprogrammed T-800 to protect him. Sarah Connor, now a hardened warrior imprisoned in a mental hospital, must team up with her son and the machine that once tried to kill her. Together, they attempt to stop Judgment Day by destroying Cyberdyne Systems, proving that there is no fate but what we make.
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
Living off the grid to avoid his destiny, an adult John Connor is hunted by the T-X, a highly advanced Terminatrix designed to hunt anti-Terminator weaponry. With a new T-850 protector, John and his future wife Kate Brewster race to infiltrate a top-secret military base. They soon realize that the apocalypse was never stopped, only postponed, and the rise of the machines is inevitable as Skynet begins to take control of the global network.
Terminator Salvation (2009)
Set in the post-apocalyptic future of 2018, John Connor leads the resistance against Skynet. He encounters Marcus Wright, a mysterious drifter whose last memory is being on death row in 2003. As Connor struggles to determine if Marcus is a human or a new kind of threat, they must infiltrate Skynet's headquarters in San Francisco to rescue a young Kyle Reese, ensuring the timeline remains intact and humanity survives its darkest hour.
Terminator Genisys (2015)
When John Connor sends Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor, an unexpected turn of events fractures the timeline. Kyle arrives in a past that is unfamiliar, where Sarah has been raised by a reprogrammed Terminator she calls "Pops." Faced with new enemies and a Skynet that attacks from both the future and the past, the unlikely trio must reset the timeline and stop a new version of Judgment Day involving a compromised John Connor.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Decades after Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, a new lethal Terminator, the Rev-9, is sent to hunt Dani Ramos, a young woman living in Mexico City. Dani's survival depends on Grace, an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor. As the Rev-9 proves unstoppable, they are led to the one person Sarah hates most—a T-800 from her past who has developed a conscience—to fight for the future one last time.
